Walter’s storied tennis career as a player include a #1 juniors ranking in the world, a #226 ranking on the ATP tour, and matches playing against the greats like John McEnroe. He offers fun and challenging clinics throughout the week.
My tennis life started at the age of 12. I took numerous junior clinics and private lessons. I played four seasons of high school varsity tennis and a season at Southwestern College. At the age of 20, while attending college, I had a part time job assisting the junior clinics at South Western College. This job was my part time college job. In 2004, I became a certified pro and I have been instructing ever since at ECCTA
Tamara began playing tennis at the age of 8. She began her competitive tennis journey at the Barnes Tennis Center. She was undefeated as the Number 1 Singles player for four years at Point Loma High School and trained at the Barnes Academy with world-class teaching professionals and ITF/NCAA players. After being offered college tennis scholarships around the states, she decided it would be best to stay home and take care of her injured shoulder that never fully recovered and focus on her studies. She now attends San Diego State University focusing on her studies. In 2012, Tamara decided that she would go for her USPTA Certification in order to keep tennis in her daily life and be able to share her tennis knowledge with others. She is now also working with ECCTA to provide more tournaments and donations.
I began coaching with USPTR in 1995
